Articles submitted to the journal undergo the following processes.
1. Article Submission
Authors submit their articles through the journal’s online submission system. All required files, declarations, and author information must be uploaded in full during the submission process.
2. Preliminary Review by the Editor-in-Chief
The Editor-in-Chief reviews the submitted article from the following perspectives:
- alignment with the journal’s purpose and scope,
- formal adequacy,
- completeness of files and declarations,
- ethics committee and permission documents,
- accuracy of author information,
- compliance with submission requirements.
At this stage, manuscripts deemed unsuitable may be returned to the author or rejected.
3. Similarity and Plagiarism Check
The similarity rate of articles submitted to the journal may not exceed 15%, excluding the reference list. Authors must upload a similarity report (PDF) showing this percentage (excluding the references) to the system during submission. The first three pages of the uploaded report are scanned using artificial intelligence (the “Overall Similarity” rate is checked). If the rate indicated in the report exceeds 15%, the report is rejected with a “high plagiarism rate” warning and the submission cannot be completed; if the rate cannot be found on the first few pages, the process continues without interruption.
Articles that pass the preliminary check are also subjected to a similarity analysis.
The similarity report is evaluated not only based on the percentage rate but also in terms of academic ethical principles and content integrity.
Works suspected of plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical violations may be rejected, or authors may be asked to provide an explanation.
4. Artificial Intelligence Assistant Editor Review
With the chief editor’s approval, the article is forwarded to the artificial intelligence assistant editor agent.
The artificial intelligence assistant editor:
- evaluates the article’s suitability for the journal,
- classifies it by main and subfields,
- identifies the relevant AI field editor agent,
- and prepares an initial evaluation note for the Editor-in-Chief.
5. AI Field Editor Review
The AI field editor:
- conducts a preliminary assessment of the article’s scientific quality within the relevant field,
- determines which AI reviewer agents will conduct the evaluation,
- selects the necessary types of evaluations regarding the field, methodology, statistics, or academic writing.
6. Artificial Intelligence Peer Review
Artificial intelligence peer review agents evaluate the article according to the established criteria.
Evaluation criteria may include:
- originality,
- scientific contribution,
- theoretical framework,
- adequacy of the literature review,
- methodological appropriateness,
- data analysis,
- consistency of findings,
- validity of results,
- ethical compliance,
- academic language and style,
- alignment with the journal’s scope.
Artificial intelligence reviewer agents may provide one of the following recommendations:
- acceptable,
- minor revisions required,
- major revisions required,
- re-evaluation required,
- rejection recommended.
These recommendations are not final decisions. The final decision rests with the editor-in-chief.
7. Revision Process
If revisions are requested, authors must make the necessary corrections based on the review reports sent by the editor-in-chief and resubmit the article to the system within the specified timeframe.
If the editor-in-chief deems it necessary, the revised article may be subjected to another AI-assisted review process.
8. Final Editorial Decision
The final decision is made by the editor-in-chief, taking into account the reports from the AI assistant editor, the AI subject editor, and the AI reviewer agents.
The Chief Editor’s decision options are as follows:
- accept,
- minor revisions,
- major revisions,
- re-review,
- reject.
The Editor-in-Chief’s decision is final.
9. Preparation for Publication
Accepted articles are published after the following stages:
- final language review,
- technical editing,
- typesetting,
- assignment of a permanent digital identifier,
- final author review,
- online publication
before being published.
